Tune into Ed Sherlock‘s interview with Jerrine Corallo of SALT, Heidi Sourwine and Tolga Morawski of Greater Mohawk Valley Land Bank (GMVLB), and Supervisor Tague of the Town of Schoharie regarding the newly formed Land Bank in the Mohawk Valley and how it will benefit blight removal in Schoharie County.

As Supervisor Tague stated, “SALT didn’t leave us after the flood, they’ve continued on. They’ve looked at better ways to help improve the local economy, to help sustain what we do have here, and to help bring in more… this is going to be something to really look forward to in the future.“

Ms. Corallo and Mr. Morawski spoke about program development, how a land bank works and the importance of a local volunteer involvement. Supervisor Tague recalled how the project got started in Schoharie County. Demolition and rehabilitation projects are expected to begin this summer.
