Sarah’s Snippets – 6/16/2016
Last week Snippets dealt with patience for the unfolding activities of SALT’s projects. This week we have a report on some of our recent progress, where that patience is starting to pay off.
This week the strategic committee of volunteer experts, SALT staff, and VISTA members spent a full day meeting candidates that had responded to the Geo to Go RFP for website and mobile app developers. After spending hours interviewing the final candidates and evaluating their qualifications against predetermined criteria, a company was selected. Coming soon: an announcement about who won the contract to be the Geo to Go website developer!
Another piece of exciting news: the RFP for the Schoharie Creek Trail feasibility study was released. A huge interest in the project was reflected in the over 30 respondents who have requested more information. This RFP seeks a company to provide the technical assistance necessary to determine the needs of an ecologically-responsible, economically beneficial trail.
SALT’s Bounty of the County artisan market is quickly approaching. With wonderful vendors and many exciting donations for the raffle and silent auction it promises to be a wonderful summer outing opportunity for local families. After enjoying the marketplace and getting dinner from Middleburgers or local restaurant, families can relax with the Friday evening concert (featuring Mike and The Monsters) sponsored by Schoharie Promotional.
Schoharie County is alive with activities. Find your way to volunteer and/or participate.
