Dr. Ellen McHale is the Executive Director of the New York Folklore Society. She holds a Ph.D. in Folklore and Folk life, and has worked as a consulting folklorist in New York State since 1985. In addition to being the former Director of the Schoharie County Historical Society, she served as the Schoharie County Folklorist from 1994 to 1999. Dr. McHale has partnered with SALT on several projects; most recently the GeoToGo Tourism project, which will use augmented reality technology to inform and connect the public with Schoharie County’s heritage, culture and artisans. We look forwarded to working with Dr. McHale on this innovative project.
