Schoharie, New York, June 23, 2016 – Schoharie Area Long Term (SALT) is excited to announce Go Gonzalez of Albany, NY has been selected as the web developer of SALT’s Geo to Go mobile app and website. Go Gonzalez is a veteran-owned, multilingual strategic marketing firm with 18 years of experience in web development, online marketing and multimedia development.

Geo to Go will innovatively incorporate the arts, culture, history, and recreation in Schoharie County into an easily accessible mobile app and website that will benefit all of Schoharie County. Local points of interest will be featured as virtual “sites” along various pre-determined trails throughout the county, initially including the Schoharie County Quilt Barn Trail, Schoharie County Beverage Trail, and a Farm Trail.

Manny Santos, Go Gonzalez VP of Operations & Strategic Marketing, believes that the Geo to Go project offers enormous benefits to both SALT and Schoharie County.

“Cutbacks in government funding and new policies that restrict funding is causing many non-profits to quickly develop new revenue streams to support their mission of disaster recovery. Schoharie Area Long Term’s Geo to Go strategy not only establishes a new funding stream, but also helps Schoharie businesses economically and offers new activities that families can enjoy in a fun interactive way. Go Gonzalez is honored to support the realization of this vision.”

The Geo to Go production team will collect information on the many amazing features of Schoharie County through the rest of 2016 and 2017. The app and website will launch this November of 2016.
