Message from Schoharie County EMO at 5:26pm June 14, 2013

Due to the amount of heavy rain in a short period of time Flash Flooding is occurring in both Schoharie and Middleburgh and potentially further south. Another storm is now tracking thru Sharon Springs, Richmondville, Cobleskill, Fulton and continue south.

A reminder: Please do NOT drive thru standing water! There is no way to tell its depth or what is underneath.
Middleburgh Elementary students are being sheltered in place at the Elementary School until it is safe to travel. Parents are able to pick up students from the Elementary School Office though it is not advised.

Main Street – Middleburgh
Frisbieville Road – Schoharie
Stony Brook Road – Schoharie
Route 145 – Middleburgh line to Rive Street
Ward Lane – Schoharie
Hilgert Parkway – Schoharie
Harroway Road – Richmondville
Route 145 – South Broome
Podpadik Road – Richmondville
Barton Hill Road – Schoharie
Route 145 – Wright
Markley Road – Seward

No restrictions at this point. Advised NOT TO DRIVE THRU STANDING WATER!
