It is with mixed emotions that we announce that a key figure in local recovery efforts, Josh DeBartolo, is working his final “official” day of work today.  We use that phrase loosely, as we are sure that he will seen again from time to time, reconnecting with the families he’s assisted over the past two year and perhaps even leading a volunteer group or two.
Since, Hurricane Irene hit, Josh has worked tirelessly, often putting in ten plus hour days to recruit and coordinate volunteers, seek out and help flood impacted property owners, collect and analyze recovery data, assist with fund development efforts, all the while providing exemplary leadership as the Director of Schoharie Recovery, Inc.  We won’t say goodbye, because we know we will see him again.  But we do want to wish Alison (his fiance) and he congratulations on their upcoming marriage and the best of luck on their new adventure.
Please take a moment to leave Josh a farewell message below.
