SCHOHARIE, NY, June 5, 2017 – The Bounty of the County is back!  SALT Development is pleased to host its fifth annual Bounty of County Gala gourmet seasonal cocktail and dinner at the Carrot Barn, Route 30A, Schoharie on Saturday, July 8, 2016 from 6-10 p.m.

Executive Chef Tyler DeGroff from the Hen & the Hound Bistro in Middleburgh will work with regional and local Schoharie Valley growers for one night of culinary decadence and delight.  The dinner will showcase regional and local food, beer, wine and spirits and features an exciting silent auction.  The tentative menu will be:

Course 1 – Local Cauliflower and Sweet Pea Tamale with Fire Roasted green chili Mole.

Course 2 –  Moroccan Style Highland Hollow and Hessian Hill Farm lamb served with perfumed basmati rice, toasted almonds, fig mostarda.

Course 3 – Highland Hollow Miale al Latte (Cowbella Farm Milk Braised Highland Hollow Pork) served over local Sweet pea polenta, garlicy spinach and pea tendrils.

Course 4 – Grandma Pat’s Cheesecake with Bohringer’s Fruit Farm strawberries.

Tickets for the event are:  $150 per person or $90 for those 40 years or younger or a table of 10 for $1300.

The Bounty of the County Gala will benefit SALT Development, a vital community development and emergency preparedness organization in Schoharie County.   SALT focuses on emergency preparedness and community development and is committed to growing a stronger community by developing regional assets.  The Bounty of the County Gala is designed to showcase the progress, as well as to raise vital funds for the continued renewal and community centered development of Schoharie County.
